She made me late for work!
It's not really her fault though. I just couldn't resist stopping to visit with her while she laid her eggs. I did lecture her about the side of the road not being a very safe place for her babies, and to not cross the road herself again, but I'm not sure that she was paying attention. I have seen warnings from the police to slow down on this road because it is a popular spot for the turtles to make their nests, but I'm not sure that drivers are paying attention either. I really hope that she and her family will stay safe!

It sprung a leak!
Apparently there was a hole in the corn car. The wildlife is lovin' it! I startled a pair of mallards who had come down for a bite to eat this morning during my walk.
I would like to comment on how disgusting that trash is right next to where the critters are eating.
Please dispose of trash properly and do not litter!

Bear Family
These guys currently reside at the Kennebunk Rest Area on Interstate 95. I almost just walked on by, but when I saw the sign, I had to stop and take a picture. After all, I'm always obedient!
Just kidding! I took a picture because a month ago I wouldn't have had a clue where Ira Mountain was, but now I know that it is at the 'Top of the World'!

A weird noise woke me up this morning...
It was a young black bear up on our back deck busting open our bird feeders so that he could eat the sunflower seeds inside!
