Love Lily
This was a really tough decision, but l know that it was the right one. Lily has moved to Tennessee to live with my sister and her family. I can't thank them enough. They have set my mind at ease. I know that they will give her an awesome home!

Sharing Warmth
I had a panicky moment while tending the animals this evening - Timmy is usually right under my feet, but I couldn't find him! Finally I backtracked to the barn, and there he was - snuggled up in Lily's stall where it was warm and dry. I've never known a dog who hated the cold & rain more than he does!

Letting go...
Lily is still out there calling, but her grumpy wooly buddy is not here. His dreams were bigger than my little farm. He is headed to Georgia, and listing with a casting agency - he wants to be on the big screen! You can watch for him at Animal Casting Atlanta.
Good luck Cooper!
Seriously though, a huge thank you to our friend Cassidy for her help with this difficult decision. I'm confident that he is headed to a great new home (It actually sounds fantastic!) per your recommendation. Given the circumstances I couldn't ask for anything more!

Maxx was in the Oxford Hills Christmas Parade again this year! We are always so happy to see that old-fashioned Oakhurst wagon coming up the street!!

Sharing breakfast with this crew...
I let them have ALL of the hay, but they let me eat some of the apples and bread that I brought for their special treat!

Sweaty Mare
This is what being in love with a yak will get you - sweaty and tired. I was so psyched that I had time to ride this afternoon! Unfortunately, it turned into a bit of a battle because all Lily wanted to do was turn around and race back home to Cooper. Well, that wasn't in my plan, and since I'm the boss...we ran controlled circles and figure-eights every time she bucked, kicked, reared, or tried to take the bit and run away. It was hardly the relaxing ride that I had envisioned, but maybe she learned her lesson? Maybe.

It's been a while...
They haven't been home much this summer, so Lily has been out to pasture. She was a bit fiesty while they were riding her around the yard, but when they started crawling all over her, and standing up on her back, she remembered how to stand like a statue!
