Good morning!

I had to make sure we spent some time together in her favorite spot this morning. The weather is perfect today and it might be our last chance since it's supposed to rain the rest of the week. This is the only home she's ever known, so I'm glad that she doesn't know (although she must suspect) that we won't be living here much longer. It's a bittersweet change!

Draining the Driveway

I posted about this process back in 2008 when the boys were little - Mud Season was the name of that post. Fortunately he (and I) still hasn't outgrown the love of playing in the mud puddles!

Just as I'm starting to get anxious about winter's imminent arrival, (because no matter how much l like to play in the snow, it does bring hardship) I plant daffodils all around the yard as a promise to myself that spring will come!

Soaking up sunshine...

I found a new favorite spot on Little Pennesseewassee Pond in Waterford. A smooth rock that faces East towards the morning sun! I soaked up as much as I could before heading to the office.

Maine Maple Sunday

It's always nice to stop by and visit with the McKenneys, but look who else we found - my aunt! Surprise!!

They're finally open!

They've been trying all week, but it's been too cold & grey. Today they are soaking up the warm sunshine! Hooray for springtime!!

My Yak is Itchy

He won't let me pet Lily at all. His wool is starting to come out, so he wants ALL the scractching!

Megan and I are sitting here eating breakfast. I'm thinking about all the projects that I want to work on during this rare day at home. I asked Megan what she wanted to do today. She thought about it for a few minutes, and then said, "I want to climb a tree." Ahhh...to be a kid again...
