Paris Hill Founders Day

This is going to be another long blog post!
We were lucky enough to see not only Bob Bahre's incredible vehicle collection today, but also the vehicles of lots of other enthusiasts that they drove up to share them with the crowd at this year's Founders Day. It was a beautiful Maine summer day, so loads of people came out to enjoy the show! I had to start with my very favorite part of the collection - the carriage from Gone with the Wind...

 We'll call this one, 'Patience'...

What a fun way to spend the day with my boys and our friends!

Is the carriage shrinking?

Every summer the kiddos humor me and pose in front of the carriage used during the filming of 'Gone with the Wind', which is my very favorite piece in the collection that is on display each year for Paris Hill Founders Day. They're growing up so fast that soon enough we won't be able to see that carriage behind them!

I love comparing the old photos with the new one each year. This was 4 years ago...

Paris Hill Founder's Day 2014

We look forward to this Saturday all year long!  It's the only time we get to visit all of our favorite cars...
And, of course, our annual tradition...
When did they get bigger than the 'Gone with the Wind' carriage?!!

Jaguar Show

This year there was also a Jaguar Show at Paris Hill Founders Day.
They were asking people to vote for their favorite Jag.  The kiddos picked the late-model black convertible, but this was my choice - a bright red 1970 E-Style.

Yes, it is important to me...

Every year I ask the kiddos to pose in front of my favorite vehicle - the carraige used during the filming of 'Gone with the Wind'.  I love looking back through the years and seeing how much they have changed.  It's incredible!

Paris Hill Founders' Day, again!

Every year, this is one of our favorite events.  There's always lots of amazing cars to look at, yummy food to eat, good music to listen to and crafts to browse from talented area crafters.  This year there was also a much larger crowd - all their advertising paid off.  The event raises funds for the Hamlin Library, a very worthy cause.  We're glad to help!
We're here to see the cars and enjoy the view.  The location is incredibly beautiful!
Posing in front of the only car that might be big enough for our family - the Iron Mountain House bus.
