Balancing

They had a great time this evening; taking turns working their way across the tightrope!

I learned something new tonight...

I took a jewelry making class at Lively Accents on Main Street in Norway, and braided a beaded Kumihimo bracelet.  It is wicked pretty!  The project seemed so complicated when we started, but once I figured out the pattern, it went very quickly.  I'm very pleased with my new bracelet and it's even better because I made it myself!

Windy Tennis

It was too windy to take our game seriously, but we sure got our exercise chasing the ball all over the court...and our abs hurt from laughing!

Spring Ahead 5k

This morning we ran our first 5k race of the season!  It was organized as a senior project to raise much needed funds for the high school cross-country running team.  The oldest came in 2nd overall, middle daughter came in 3rd for females, youngest ran a personal best, and we all enjoyed a fun run with our friends!

Sunflower Farm Creamery

Is there anything better than snuggling with a 2 day old goat kid?  How about snuggling with dozens of them?!
Sunflower Farm Creamery opens their barn to visitors only a few days each year so we took a trip out there today.  The girls and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the kids and their mamas!

Sunset in Norway

This evening the girls and I went for a run around downtown Norway.  This is what waited for us there...spectacular!

Which is it?

Apparently there's been some confusion in the rumor mill as to what I got - a yak, or a yacht.  I'm not sure why that's confusing.  There is quite a bit of difference between them!

1st Picnic of 2015

This is where we ate our supper before the concert last night.  For some reason I had never been here before and it's such a pretty spot on the ocean that I'm glad I finally discovered it!

Their 1st Concert

This evening we drove down to the South Portland Auditorium to watch Home Free, an acapella group perform.  They were incredible!  The voices on those men, from high notes to low notes, and the noises that the 'beat-box' guy could make, were amazing!  To top it off, they were really funny, so it was a very entertaining concert and we enjoyed it very much.  We hope they come back to Maine again soon!

Check!

Megan and I are sitting here eating breakfast. I'm thinking about all the projects that I want to work on during this rare day at home. I asked Megan what she wanted to do today. She thought about it for a few minutes, and then said, "I want to climb a tree." Ahhh...to be a kid again...

Civil War Memorial

This memorial is in a small park on Main Street in Norway.  I've gone past it so many times and never stopped to visit, until this morning when the girls and I were out for a run and needed to take a break.

First Flowers Up!

My mom's garden always produces the most beautiful flowers, and she always has the first crocus that I see each year!  They poke their happy faces up in that warm sunshine just as soon as they can feel it as the snow melts.

Cooper's First Trim

Lily was watching the farrier very closely to make sure that she did a good job!

Twice as Cute

Remember Bullwinkle?  He has a new little brother to keep him company!
While he's not real sure what to think of this nuisance that wants to wrestle constantly and chew on everything, I think he's wicked cute!
