Happy 12th Birthday, Aly!

Disclaimer: no, we did not get her a fish! Sidney was a temporary visitor and was in a room with a closed door - Aly followed me in on day, I snapped the picture 'cause it was super cute, and promptly removed her from the room. :-)

Barely Legal

She caught a brook trout that was just big enough to fry up for supper! It sure was a tasty tidbit! I decided it was more like hunting than fishing though, because the brook is so shallow right now. She and her brother had to search out all the fishy hiding spots. Their patience paid off though with lots of bites and they had lots of fun together! I enjoyed tagging along behind them, listening to their banter, and relaxing near the water.

How to choose?

The girls decided to pool their money together and buy a Betta fish.  Now they have to decide which fish to bring home!

 

We've arrived!

We made it to my sister's family farm and we are already settled in.  The kiddos are trying their luck in the farm pond.  They've caught a couple of fish already and are having a great time!
