Good-bye Sweet Ol' Girl

We knew we were on borrowed time with Maggie, but not that the time would be so short.  We will miss her terribly, but she's not in pain anymore...

Dogs don't like fireworks!

This extra long holiday weekend has meant 4 days of people shooting off fireworks to celebrate. While I'm glad that they are able to have fun, I wish that they would consider the doggies in the neighborhood. We're listening to all the sled dogs barking and whining in fear, and wishing that we could reassure them it's going to be okay. They don't understand. Poor doggies!
