Home Sweet Home

One of my step-daughters made this huge, colorful diagram of our home. She and her dad worked together to make a frame for it so that she can hang it on her wall. It dominates the room and is the first thing that you see when you walk through the door.  Walking through that door and seeing this makes me smile every time.

Busy, busy...

We're finally building a new deck for the back of the house!  And, we ALL got to help yesterday.  Boy, is it HOT on the West side of the house; always has been in the afternoons.  I can't wait until this is finished...

A Happy Father's Day!

It was an absolutely beautiful summer day today!  Mom & Dad came up for lunch and then we wandered around the yard, enjoying the flowers.  Mom snapped this one of my dad & I sharing a laugh.  So glad they came up for a visit!

The girls had a few surprises for their dad, and then they decided to make him a blue cake.  It was a great, very sweet, treat this afternoon!

Quick Ski Together

Time was short, but the new falling snow made for such perfect conditions that they just had to squeeze in some skiing this morning!

Family Time

This afternoon we created some wonderful family memories working together to plant our flower gardens.  The yard is looking so much more colorful!

Aly decided that she wanted to ride on my husband's shoulders this morning...if it hadn't been for her jumping onto his back and climbing up with her claws, he would have been happier about it.  He really didn't appreciate my laughter, but it really was quite funny!

Break-time

The house is finally getting a new roof!  What a great project to finish before winter.
