Cross-Country Regionals
I'm a very proud cross-country mom! He left it all on the course - literally! Today's race was incredibly fast because they were all running to qualify for the state meet next weekend. 2 boys from our team qualified, and although my son didn't, I couldn't be more proud of the way that he ran today. He just wasn't fast enough against the field of runners that showed up to compete - they are incredible. Congrats to all of the qualifiers!

Love Lily
This was a really tough decision, but l know that it was the right one. Lily has moved to Tennessee to live with my sister and her family. I can't thank them enough. They have set my mind at ease. I know that they will give her an awesome home!
I can't tell you though that I'm not crying as l write this. Damn l miss her. But, I'm also very happy for her, and I might be a bit jealous!
Thank you to my friends for your help. I knew that l could count on you (again!) and l appreciate it very much!

Sharing Warmth
I had a panicky moment while tending the animals this evening - Timmy is usually right under my feet, but I couldn't find him! Finally I backtracked to the barn, and there he was - snuggled up in Lily's stall where it was warm and dry. I've never known a dog who hated the cold & rain more than he does!

This can't be good...
Fortunately, the foolish kid who had been driving this vehicle and lost control while goofing off, walked away. According to his father, this is the second vehicle that he has crashed recently. I really hope that he has learned his lesson this time.
