They're both in high school now!
1st day of sophomore year and 2nd day of freshman year. They're growing up too fast!
Remember this from 2005?
1st day of kindergarten and 1st grade; posing with Haley. (I still miss that dog!)

Busy, busy...
We're finally building a new deck for the back of the house! And, we ALL got to help yesterday. Boy, is it HOT on the West side of the house; always has been in the afternoons. I can't wait until this is finished...

LA Bridge Run 5k
This morning we ran the last of the Lewiston/Auburn Triple Crown races, the LA Bridge Run. It was so much fun, but so bittersweet because it means summer is ending. This is our last race before school starts. Everyone bettered their time today, and 2 of the girls placed 1st and 2nd in their age group! So proud of them!! I'll definitely have to watch for when they open up registration for 2015 - we can't wait to run this series again next year!

Finally!
You will not hear me complain even once about waiting to get through the construction site.
That road needs repairs so badly!

Androscoggin Riverlands State Park
This morning, even though our legs were tired from yesterday's exertions, the boys and I decided to explore some new trails. After I climbed this hill, I decided I had had enough. It was really tough, really muddy riding and I was exhausted after only a couple of miles! I turned to watch my younger son coming behind me...
It was quite the climb! My older son had gone on ahead, but not so far that he couldn't hear me calling him back. This is what he had to ride up to get to us...
You see why they were both content to head back to the car? Tough trails! We'll tackle them with fresh legs!

ITS89
Today we did our mileage on the snowmobile trail that used to be a railroad bed between Buckfield and Minot. It was a beautiful ride/run and a great way to spend the morning with family and friends.

This was so nice to come home to...
I was late getting home this evening, so the girls cooked me this absolutely delicious pizza with homemade crust, cherry tomatoes fresh from our garden and lots of yummy mozzarella cheese. Mmmmm...

They met a Seadog!
Each year my cousin opens her home to a Portland Seadogs player. This year it is Stefan Welch of Australia. Isn't he a tall drink-of-water? The girls really enjoyed meeting him!
