New Necklace
Our favorite local jeweler, Creaser Jewelers, had a grand opening celebration in their new location today. The girls and I just had to check it out! I found some amber and they found lots of shiny things to save their pennies for...

Bald Eagle
We saw this big, beautiful Bald Eagle on our way home this afternoon! After I snapped this quick photo with my phone, he soared away, floating across the valley towards our house. Now we're wondering if he's the predator that has been eating our chickens!

Pretty Darn Proud of Himself
He has been taking archery lessons this fall. Last night we purchased a bow for him, so this afternoon he made himself a target and started practicing at a distance of 30 feet from his target. He's got a pretty good eye, wouldn't you say?

Happy to be Home
Amber spent the day at the vet today, getting spayed.
She was so happy to be home that she snuggled right up to my husband when he gently lifted her out of the back of the car.

Sabattus Mountain
We all had the day off from school & work, so we climbed Sabattus Mountain in Lovell. It was an easy hike for the kiddos and the view was absolutely unbelievable!

Year of the Dragon
My first cross-stitched Christmas ornament for this year! I stitched this for my younger son, and I know he is going to love it. He loves dragons, and was born 12 years ago, during the last 'Year of the Dragon', so it will suit him quite nicely.
Actually, with all the changes in my life, this is the first handmade gift that I have made for a few years. The boys have missed receiving them. Regardless of the fact that I'm still too busy, I'm making it a priority this season to craft some of the kiddos' gifts this Christmas. They do appreciate handmade items more than store-bought stuff.
