They didn't want to stop playing in the snow!
So, they brought some inside with them. And, after a while, they built their Lego figures a swimming pool....

Overlooking Lake Penneseewassee
We spent this morning exploring the ski trails at Roberts Farm. This is our new favorite spot - overlooking the lake. I swear it's there, just behind us...oh, look. There it is!

12 weeks ago today...
I broke my ankle. I was so scared that I would never run again, despite my doctor's reassurances. I've been working up to it, and well, today, I did it. It wasn't easy, and it certainly wasn't fast, but boy did it feel good to get out there again! I'm so relieved to have that first run behind me...

Homemade Gelatin
I've always known that gelatin is very healthy and that we should eat more of it, but that Jello is not, so we should eat less of that. I finally found a solution! All-natural gelatin powder, dissolved in 100% fruit juice, and sweetened with honey...yummy, healthy, gummy treats that are fun to eat.

EHSC Maine Team Selection Races
Today he raced (twice!) against the best of the best as they all attempted to qualify for 20 available spots on the Maine Nordic Team. He didn't qualify, but was satisfied with placing 55 out of 61, especially since his times were more than 2 minutes faster than previous races. I am so proud of him for rising to the challenge, embracing this amazing experience, and learning so much about racing from these guys that are so good at it! He loved every minute of his day at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center and can't wait to try again next year...
